Mercedes Roofing was founded in 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina when our owner, Sam Gordon Sr., relocated from New Orleans to Austin, Texas. In the beginning, without the luxury of big trucks like established roofing companies, he drove an old Mercedes, knocking on doors and helping homeowners rebuild. That car became more than just transportation—it became a symbol of resilience, hard work, and a commitment to serving communities. To this day, we honor that legacy by keeping Mercedes as part of our brand, driving through neighborhoods and standing out as a company that puts homeowners first.

Over the years, Sam Gordon Sr. expanded his expertise, eventually moving to Colorado, where he started a family. His son, Sam Gordon Jr., was trained in the art of roofing from an early age, learning firsthand the skills, ethics, and dedication that built Mercedes Roofing into what it is today. With decades of experience in Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana, Mercedes Roofing has grown into a trusted name in residential reroofing, specializing in insurance claims and storm restoration.
